Who we are

'Mission smile' is a tribute to my beloved wife, Julie Walawalkar, who touched the hearts of many people with her infectious smile. 

She brought joy to everyone she met and lit up every room she entered.  Her life was a celebration and she lived every moment of it like it was her last. She had a deep devotion to God and her family.  Her passion was dancing, and living a joyful life to its fullest.   

In April 2011, Julie was diagnosed with fourth stage of Lung Cancer. As per the doctors, she had few months to live. It was heart wrenching to see someone you love go through so much pain.  I had the option of either brooding over it or make Julies life worth living by making her smile and motivate her.  It was not possible to increase her life span but instead I focused on giving her a quality life to fight her battle with a smile.  Each and every moment was dedicated on making her smile. The true value of a smile was understood then...

After her untimely demise I took this as my life’s mission. I wanted to keep Julie alive by spreading her smile around the world.
This movement is by you and me, the common man, with no personal agenda or personal gain other than that satisfaction of making someone happy.  Mission Smile’s only motive is to make someone smile, someone less privileged then us, someone who needs that little support to stand up and walk again.

Don’t underestimate the power that you have... the power of smile, which can turn a life around. Just with your one smile, you can make someone’s life more beautiful.

Mission smile and spread smile is achieving its objective Via Entertainment: Events, magic shows, puppet shows, birthday parties and many more where smile team will spend some quality time with ailing kids and their families and make all the efforts to make them happy and motivated.

So let’s be together so that we can make this world a better place...lets smile and start spreading it all over!!!
